Travis Cantrell has over 20 years of expertise within high-volume manufacturing environments, managing manufacturing consumables and direct material projects with clients throughout North America.
Travis joined ERA Group, formerly Expense Reduction Analysts, in 2011 as a manufacturing category specialist. Travis partners closely with Patrick Garr; collectively, the Garr-Cantrell team has delivered an average savings of 16.1% on more than 125 completed projects, reviewing >$150MM in expenditure, with combined savings in excess of $24MM.
Within his areas of focus, Travis has extensive knowledge in numerous areas of manufacturing consumables (packaging, chemicals / industrial gases, factory consumables, and lab supplies) and direct material (steel/aluminum, PCB/As, cable assemblies, and other various COGS/BOM) with particular expertise and supplier relationships in corrugated cartons, food/pharma packaging, industrial chemicals and gases, lab supplies, and vendor managed inventory solutions.
Background & experience:
- Prior to ERA Group, Travis worked for Intel Corporation, the global microchip manufacturing giant, for 8+ years as an engineering manager in photolithography, in addition to holding positions as a supply chain manager and new product manufacturing manager
- Travis also worked for Zeno Capital LLC, a privately owned, diversified investment institution, serving as their real assets portfolio and engineering manager, responsible for the development and success of Zeno’s real assets portfolio
- The Garr-Cantrell team achieved ERA Double-Diamond Status in 2018 and 2019 (ERA’s top performance level) and Diamond status in 2016 and 2017 and were part of ERA’s President’s Circle from 2009 through 2020
- Travis holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Virginia – Wise
