Since joining ERA Group in 2005, Forrest James has implemented 75+ freight projects with total client savings of over $20 million.

Prior to ERA, Forrest was COO and CFO for BestTransport, Inc., a transportation management services company. His major clients included Alcoa, Greif Inc, Nucor Steel, Allegheny Technologies, and Atlas Tube. As COO, Forrest maintained contractual and professional relationships with 2,000+ truckload and LTL carriers throughout North America, and was responsible for all client consulting engagements. Forrest led several successful freight consulting projects while COO at BestTransport. The largest project was a review of Alcoa’s $150 million annual freight spend, where Forrest and his team delivered annual savings of 10% or $15 million.

Forrest is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and received his M.S. in Computer Information Systems and M.B.A. in Finance from St. Mary’s University.
