Christine Leon is a National Practice Partner focusing on business development and project management within the healthcare, academic, non-profit, and sports sectors.
Christine offers over 25 years of project management and communications experience, engaging teams through collaboration, transparency, and a servant-leader spirit.
Before joining ERA, Christine served as Director of Project Management for a medical device and software firm. She began her career at Mayo Clinic as an Account Executive in Public Affairs, responsible for multiple subspecialties. As such, she initiated communications plans and managed department-specific and enterprise-wide projects. Christine also served as Project Manager for the Office of Patient Education and Center for Digital Health. Her initiatives included leading teams in translating and ingesting English-to-Spanish content into Epic and managing Mayo’s fastest remote patient monitoring implementation. She completed her 20+ year tenure as Digital Product Manager within the Center for Digital Health.
Christine also served as Executive Director of Practical Governance Group, a firm founded to educate and improve healthcare boards. She also concurrently led a marketing communications consultancy specializing in website development and design for national associations and firms. Additionally, Christine directed marketing and communications for a healthcare executive recruitment firm after learning the business from the ground up as an executive search associate.
Christine earned an M.B.A. from the University of North Florida and a bachelor’s in Public Relations from the University of Florida. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Surrounded by those also devoted to healthcare, Christine’s father is a pediatrician, her sister is a registered nurse, her husband is an anesthetist (physician assistant), and she has cousins who work in radiology and clinical informatics.
In her spare time, Christine enjoys spending time with her family. She doubles as a professional chauffeur, toting her two teenagers to volleyball practice and tournaments. A coffee connoisseur, Christine greatly enjoys learning, exercising, technology (when it works), meeting new people, and traveling.
