Chris Angel is an ERA Founding National Practice Partner based in North Carolina with more than 30 years of experience in the software industry and entrepreneurial start-ups. As an advisor and advocate, Chris focuses on building strong relationships and delivering comprehensive cost management solutions for clients.
Prior to joining ERA, Chris has held roles within sales, partnerships, and channel alliances for some of the world’s largest software and distribution firms. He has developed experience in dealing with the C-suite and senior leadership on developing strategies, creating solutions to business challenges, and extensive contract negotiations. He successfully developed, operated, and exited a multi-million dollar start-up business. In those roles, he developed the concept, created the business plan, raised several million dollars of capital, oversaw project development, and served as lead for sales, marketing, and finance roles. He also has experience supporting companies through the incubation and turnaround of product lines.
Chris focuses his practice on entities ranging in structure from family-owned, private equity held, publicly-traded corporations, and not-for-profit entities. Throughout Chris’ experience, he has had success working with executives in several industries, including manufacturing, technology, retail, health care, distribution, and services.
Chris holds a BS in Economics with a concentration in industrial engineering from North Carolina State University. He resides in Raleigh with his wife, Alyssa, and their two children.
